Quality inspection in Peru

Independent pre shipment inspection of avocados, blueberries, grapes and mangoes at the packing house. For importers who buy through us, and for those who buy from any Peruvian exporter.

The problem

By the time fruit arrives, it is too late

Quality disputes in fresh produce usually come down to one question: when did the fruit go wrong? Without evidence from origin, the importer and the exporter each have their own answer.

Buyers apply their own specifications, inspectors judge differently, and fruit keeps changing in the container. A timestamped report from the packing house, with photos and temperatures, gives both sides the same record.

Our standards

How we judge a lot

We inspect against your specification first. Where you do not have one, we use the relevant UNECE marketing standard for Europe, or USDA grade standards and PACA good delivery guidelines for the United States.

Every figure in our reports is measured, not estimated: sample sizes are written on the report, and every photo carries date, time and lot number.

What is a pre shipment inspection for fresh fruit?

An inspector samples the lot at the packing house before loading and checks quality, condition, maturity and temperature against the buyer's specification. The result is a written report with photos.

Can I book an inspection if I buy from another Peruvian exporter?

Yes. The inspection is sold on its own. You tell us the packing house, the loading date and your purchase order, and we inspect on your behalf.

When do I receive the inspection report?

Before the vessel departs, so there is still time to act if a lot does not meet your specification.

Which standards do you inspect against?

Your specification first. Where there is none, the relevant UNECE marketing standard for Europe, or USDA grade standards and PACA good delivery guidelines for the United States.

How much does a fruit inspection in Peru cost?

The price per inspection depends on product, location and number of containers. Ask us for a quote.
